Two updates:
First, I joined the wpersonal finance network for female personal finance bloggers. It looks exciting, it just started up so I’m not sure where it’ll go. There have been posts in the past on the high number of influential male PF bloggers. I’m not joining this to spite the men, but to bond with the women. I hope the men are ok with that. 
Second, I’ve decided to get the pattern for this coat:
It’s simple, nothing too funky. Now I just have to see if I can find the right fabric for it! (I haven’t bought it yet because I need to look at this pattern in person and make sure I can do it smoothly) Wish me luck!

Ooh, I love that style, I’m sure it’ll be lovely. Are you going with the same brown/tan color?

I’m not sure about the color yet, I’ll have to see my options. I was thinking black, but it gets too dirty. So either tan, brown, or a medium/dark gray I think.
